Hi there! My name is Kailyn Kinkennon, and I have the privilege of being the president of the Gamma Epsilon chapter of Gamma Phi Beta. From the moment I was introduced to it, I’ve known I belong in Gamma Phi Beta. It’s a place that fosters such warmth, and it’s full of people that truly have your best interest at heart. When I got to the University, I felt the constant need to put on a show and fit the mold of what other people wanted from me. When I got to know Gamma Phi Beta, however, I learned that sometimes, people do just want you to be your genuine self. The authenticity I’ve been shown by others has inspired the same authenticity in myself, and for that I’m eternally grateful. In the two and a half years I’ve gotten to spend in this chapter, I’ve learned and grown so much, and even more so, I’ve made some amazing memories. Gamma Phi Beta is more than just a house. It’s late night Crumbl runs and taste testing all the flavors, giggling in the front room talking about how we need to lock in, thrift trips, and always having someone to go to the Sub with if you don’t want to go alone. It’s a system of constant support, somewhere there’s always a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear, somewhere that people want to see you succeed. Every day, my love for this chapter grows, and the connections I’ve made get stronger and stronger. I’m so lucky to be a part of such a beautiful community full of such beautiful people. Thank you for everything, Gamma Phi Beta, my love for you is true and constant.
